Meet Marcus

About Me

I am a Senior majoring in Journalism with a concentration in Social Justice and minoring in Sociology, with a strong focus on Broadcast and Producing at Middle Tennessee State University, and a strong commitment to civic engagement and student activism. As President of the MTSU American Democracy Project, I actively encourage students to engage with their civic duties, from registering to vote to educating them about candidates and ballot measures. I also served as an SGA Senator, advocating for student interests and promoting positive changes on campus.

I am the Producer, Digital Content Manager, and Reporter for Middle Tennessee News, an award-winning news and educational broadcasting service that provides programming to MTSU and residents in the broadcast area, where I manage MTN's social media and website and create news packages. I also learned how to use the Associated Press Electronic News Production System, the industry-standard software for newsrooms.
I am also a Video Journalist for MTSU Sidelines, an award-winning student news organization covering Middle Tennessee State University and nearby communities, where I create videos for the Sidelines social media.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I have six years of customer service experience from retail, sales, hotel, and my current position at MTSU BluePrint.

Beyond academia, I am a full-stack developer and the creator of Logick.live, a platform that offers versatile software solutions for both personal and business needs. At Logick, we aim to provide innovative software that enhances business operations and elevates personal experiences.
